About Stäubli Electrical Connectors
Customized system solutions for power and data connections are our speciality. Our know-how and almost 50 years of experience make us the ideal partner for optimum contact applications. The Quality management system of Stäubli Electrical Connectors has been certified according to ISO 9001 and complies with other standards such as RoHS and DIN.
In addition to supplying equipment, we provide installation supervision, engineering support and project support. We offer a wide range of products in serial production as well as special solutions according to our customers’ specifications.
Stäubli Electrical Connectors Czech is part of the Stäubli Group and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Swiss-based Stäubli Electrical Connectors AG, a leading manufacturer of precision electrical and electronic connectors.
Being part of the the Stäubli Group for 15 years, we now adopt the name and brand appearance of Stäubli. Since January 2017 Multi-Contact continues its business and services as Stäubli Electrical Connectors.
Providing latest technology and highest quality in products and customized solutions this step will allow us to even better meet the demands of the global market.

Global presence
In addition to our global headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, Stäubli Electrical Connectors has production sites in the U.S., Germany, France and China. Business units operate across Europe as well as in Asia and the Americas.
Stäubli Electrical Connectors is part of the Stäubli Group, an international mechatronics solutions provider with three dedicated divisions: Textile machinery, Connectors and Robotics. With a workforce of 5000, the Group maintains a presence in 29 countries through its sales and customer service subsidiaries. This network is completed by agents in 60 locations around the word.

1954: | Rudolf Neidecker discovers a unique design of electrical plug using multiple spring wires. |
1960: | MULTILAM Technology is developed by Rudolf Neidecker. |
1962: | Foundation of Multi-Contact in Basel, Switzerland by Rudolf Neidecker. |
1968: | Rapid expansion after first patents are filed for connectors with MULTILAM Technology |
1982: | Establishment of Multi-Contact USA in California. |
1992: | Development of customized connection solutions for photovoltaic installations |
1994: | Acquisition of HCK, supplier of test and measuring accessories. |
1996: | Market launch of the MC3, the world’s first photovoltaic connector. |
2002: | Multi-Contact is acquired by the Stäubli Group, providing a global sales and service network in 25 countries and synergies for connection solutions for all types of fluids and gases. |
2002: | Worldwide introduction of the MC4 photovoltaic connector. |
2006: | A separate branch office in Pardubice will further enhance our market presence in Eastern Europe. |
2009: | Major photovoltaic competence center is established in Essen, Germany |
2012: | Multi-Contact celebrates its 50th anniversary, Multi-Contact USA its 30th anniversary and the Swiss-based Stäubli Group its 120th anniversary |
